As part of the Market Walk extension work that took place throughout 2019, Chorley saw some exciting businesses come to Market Walk. The extension provided room to house a six-screen Reel Cinema, M&S Foodhall (including click and collect), crazy golf course, bowling alley, Loungers restaurant and more. The extension was planned to open in time for Christmas. See below the timeline for stores opening.
Improvements to the Town Centre
The work on Market Walk was part of the efforts to improve Chorley’s Town Centre. As part of the improvements, the town centre saw:
- The new crossing over the by-pass to make access easier
- The new two-level Friday Street car park is open offering 400+ spaces
- Free wi-fi is available using the ‘Check Out Chorley’ network
