09 May Festive Fun on Market Walk
Plenty of Christmas shopping and family activities in Market Walk
Everyone is being invited to do their Christmas shopping in Market Walk, Chorley and enjoy the many festive family activities that are on offer in the lead up to Christmas.
Owned and managed by Chorley Council, Market Walk shopping centre, in the heart of Chorley town centre, is offering great deals and festive fun over the Christmas period. With over 30 shops, there’s something for everyone and all at great prices.
Councillor Alistair Bradley, who has responsibility for Market Walk shopping centre at Chorley Council, said: “Market Walk is a great place to get all of your Christmas shopping done and we are encouraging people to come and see what is on offer when visiting Chorley town centre.
“There is plenty to choose from including; clothing, accessories, perfume, cosmetics, electronics, toys, food and drink.
“Not only will you find the perfect Christmas gift for a family member or friend but you can find great services and even get your hair done at the hairdressers or barbers for your Christmas celebrations.
“Whilst you’re out shopping this December, you will also find that there are plenty of activities going on every Saturday in Market Walk, which will keep your children entertained and get you in the festive spirit.
“We hope to see many people visiting Market Walk this Christmas and supporting Chorley town centre.”
Market Walk is decked out in Christmas lights and there is a spectacular illuminated Christmas tree taking centre stage so you’ll be wowed by Christmas displays whilst doing your Christmas shopping.
Father Christmas’ post box is proudly standing by the Christmas tree so children can post their letters to Santa in time before he loads his sleigh.
Up until Christmas the ARTventurers will be setting up their arts and crafts stalls in Market Walk every Saturday from 10am to 3pm. Each week you can expect something different with drop-in sessions offering themes including; Christmas decorations, Christmas calendars and reindeer dust making. These activities are perfect for children to take a break when out shopping.
Plus, there are some fantastic street entertainers in the form of the Christmas Waiters on Saturday 9 December and Jacks of Frost on Saturday 23 December.
